A Taste of Time with Seppeltsfield x FINO Restaurant
Sat 16th May 2026 at 11:30 AM

The historic Seppeltsfield Estate invites you to A Taste of Time — a 175th Anniversary long lunch held within the Centennial Cellar, a space never before opened for a seated dining experience. This flagship event for Tasting Australia 2026 offers a rare opportunity to gather among barrels laid down every year since 1878, where time itself becomes part of the occasion.

This immersive afternoon unfolds as a journey through flavour and history. Guests will enjoy canapés followed by a five-course private lunch by destination restaurant FINO, thoughtfully paired with a series of Seppeltsfield wines and a cocktail on arrival. The experience culminates with an extraordinary tasting of the 1926 100 Year Old Para Vintage Tawny, drawn directly from barrel — a true expression of patience, provenance and time.

Hosted by Chief Winemaker Fiona Donald and FINO Co-Founder Sharon Romeo, A Taste of Time is a once-in-a-generation celebration of place, partnership and the passage of time.

Journey Beyond X Seppeltsfield: A Taste of the Indian Pacific Platinum Off Train Experience
Tue 12th May 2026 at 6:00 PM

Journey Beyond and Seppeltsfield come together at Tasting Australia to offer guests a unique taste of the Indian Pacific’s Platinum Off Train Experience, usually located at the iconic Seppeltsfield Estate, brought into the heart of Adelaide city in Town Square. This event invites Tasting Australia guests to step into a moment of that journey, revealing what awaits when you traverse the continent by rail and arrive at one of the Barossa’s most historic destinations.

The experience begins as you are welcomed with a chilled glass of Champagne Bollinger, a hallmark of Platinum indulgence, before making your way through a train-inspired space that captures the journey onboard the Indian Pacific.

Guests are then invited to gather around the Journey Beyond Lounge to witness a live cooperage demonstration by Seppeltsfield’s onsite cooper, Andrew Young. This display highlights the precision, storytelling and heritage behind Seppeltsfield’s renowned fortified wines.

This is followed by an artfully curated wine and canapé flight by Seppeltsfield and Head Event Chef Owen Andrews, where each bite celebrates local produce and is paired with Seppeltsfield’s award-winning Barossa wines. The experience is hosted by a Seppeltsfield Winemaker alongside Owen Andrews.

The experience concludes with a true taste of history: a tasting of Seppeltsfield’s 1926 ‘100 Year Old’ Para Vintage Tawny, drawn from the estate’s world-famous Centennial Cellar, the only unbroken lineage of single vintage Tawny in the world. The 1926 Para has achieved multiple 100-point accolades from leading global critics and represents a liquid piece of Australian history.

A rare and memorable insight into one of Australia’s most iconic rail journeys, this experience offers guests a once in a lifetime taste of the Platinum spirit of the Indian Pacific and the timeless artistry of Seppeltsfield, united.
