BIOSECURITY AT SEPPELTSFIELD

Biosecurity Acknowledgment

Biosecurity in the vineyards is crucial for safeguarding our vines from the spread of new and potentially damaging pests and disease. and ensuring we can continue to make award-winning wines. While we as custodians hold a great deal of responsibility, our visitors play a vital role in preventing the spread of harmful pests and diseases in our vineyards. To reduce this threat, it is crucial for our visitors to avoid entering vineyards and to stay on designated roads and tracks.

At Seppeltsfield, we as producers are responsible for implementing biosecurity measures to protect the industry’s integrity and ensure long-term vineyard and wine production sustainability.

Tour Experiences Amongst Our Vines

At Seppeltsfield, some tour experiences include visits to our vineyards. To prevent the spread of pests and disease, a mandatory foot bath must be completed before entering the vineyards as your shoes can cany harmful pests and diseases without you knowing. If you’re participating in a tour that requires the use of a footbath, please ensure you wear enclosed and waterproof shoes that will allow a mild disinfectant solution to be scrubbed/applied to the bottom of your shoes. Thank you for understanding and helping us protect our vines.

Enjoy our wines – protect our vines.
