The Estate

Seppeltsfield was established in 1851 in the Barossa Valley by Joseph and Johanna Seppelt, just 15 years after the European settlement of South Australia. Steeped in rich Barossan heritage, the Estate is considered a true national treasure which helped shape the history of the Australian wine industry.

Seppeltsfield is a multi-award-winning tourism destination, providing world-class luxury experiences with the cellar door serving as the heart of the estate. Our estate is now a vibrant community of artisans, making us a modern-day village to explore.

Upon arrival, a vibrant Barossa community of wine, food, art, craft and bespoke activities awaits, highlighted by Seppeltsfield’s world class Cellar Door and Experiences, FINO Seppeltsfield Restaurant, Café at Seppeltsfield, JamFactory Craft and Design Studios, Vasse Virgin Natural Olive Oil Skincare and Prohibition Distillery.

At the Seppeltsfield Estate we offer a Self-Guided History Experience which includes ten podcast in the series which tell the unique history of the Seppeltsfield Estate. Guests are able to walk throughout the Seppeltsfield Estate and scan the QR Code at each stop listed on the map to listen to a podcast talking about the history of each building.
