Seppeltsfield are ‘painting the iconic Barossa village pink’, in an effort to support Australian Breast Cancer Research (ABCR) throughout October, in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Based on the inaugural success of #MoscatoMission last year – with Seppeltsfield Wines donating $10,317 to ABCR, this year they are taking it to the next level, broadening the charitable initiative across its ‘village’ partners.
In addition to the winery again donating 50% of all sales made for the month of October of its (aptly pink) 2019 Barossa Moscato, the estate will be beaming with pink lights and from the Cellar Door, you can purchase a pink ribbon to tie around one of the many iconic palm trees on site – in memory of a loved one.
FINO will be serving a special #MoscatoMission Cocktail and the estate’s most recent addition, Vasse Virgin will release a special ‘bath boobs’ gift pack, comprising of olive oil soaps handcrafted on site. JamFactory will have a collection of pink craft and design on offer, and Segway Sensation SA, who pop-up at Seppeltsfield on weekends, will dress the Segway’s appropriately with pink ribbons, with all part proceeds going to ABCR. The Seppeltsfield fountain in the courtyard will be filled with pink floating flowers for those wishing to place a ‘gold coin’ donation.
Managing Director, Steven Trigg, Seppeltsfield Wines said “We are proud to continue to support ABCR, a fellow South Australian based not-for-profit, striving for a future free from breast cancer. Given the momentum of #MoscatoMission at Seppeltsfield last year, it was an obvious choice”.
“Sadly, several of our employees, their families and Seppeltsfield village partner staff have been directly affected by breast cancer, including survivor Samantha Foreman, General Manager at Vasse Virgin, so we are working together to do what it takes to support this wonderful cause”.
Group Chief Executive Officer Paul Flynn, Australian Breast Cancer Research (ABCR), part of The Hospital Research Foundation Group said, ‘We are thrilled to be chosen as the beneficiary of Seppeltsfield’s #MoscatoMission once again this year so that, together, we can contribute to fight for breast cancer research”.
“Seppeltsfield’s incredible contribution in 2018 was directed towards the prevention, detection, management and treatment of breast cancer. Their efforts this year will continue supporting researchers who are fighting every day to find treatments and cures for South Australians affected by this heartbreaking disease”.
#MoscatoMission was launched in 2018 to help drive awareness of breast cancer, as part of Seppeltsfield’s ongoing commitment to community and social causes. Earlier this year, Seppeltsfield wines, via the collective Randall Wine Group, also donated over $9,500 to Rural Aid to assist drought-stricken farmers.
