Seppeltsfield have been recognised at the most prestigious wine show in Australia, the 2019 Royal Adelaide Wine Show, taking out four Gold Medals for the 2019 Barossa Nero d’Avola, Para Grand Tawny (10 Year Old Average Age), Para Rare Tawny (18 Year Old Average Age) and Solero DP38 Rich Rare Apera.
This year there were 2,647 wines entered from over 351 wineries across the country, with judging taking place over four days at Adelaide Showground, led by Chair of Judges Louisa Rose and International Wine Judge, Joe Czerwinski.
Seppeltsfield were also awarded Silver Medals for the 2019 Barossa Mataro and Solero DP116 Aged Flor Apera, with Bronze Medals for the 2019 Barossa Grenache, 2017 Barossa Shiraz and 1998 21 Year Old Para Tawny.
The awards were celebrated at the official 2019 Royal Adelaide Wine Show Awards Lunch, presented by Wine Communicators of Australia and the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia. Following this, the ever popular ‘Taste of the Best’ event, offered the general public an opportunity to taste not only the award winning wines, but all entries from this year’s show.
