This year, Seppeltsfield is celebrating its 175th Anniversary – a very special milestone for the Estate.
To honour this anniversary, Seppeltsfield have today released a ‘175th Anniversary video’ – a reflection on the people, place and historical moments in time.
Narrated by Executive Chairman and Proprietor, Warren Randall, the video brings to life the Estate’s journey from its earliest days in the Barossa to the living legacy preserved across generations today. It is a story of custodianship, resilience and respect for history – one that continues to define Seppeltsfield as the ‘Best Tourism Winery’ in Australia.
Warren Randall, Executive Chairman and Proprietor said:
‘The ambition of Joseph and Johanna Seppelt who founded in this place in the Barossa in 1851, was simply magnificent.
When I acquired the Seppeltsfield Estate nearly 20 years ago, I felt a reconnection with history – an overwhelming feeling of responsibility, excitement and opportunity.
A true national treasure which has helped shape the history of the Australian wine industry.
I feel incredibly privileged to be the current custodian and I have audacious plans to set the Estate up for the next 175 years, until 2201.
For now, this year is set to be an exciting year ahead at Seppeltsfield, with a series of moments planned at the Estate’.
The video was written in collaboration with Andrew Caillard MW.
