Tasting Notes

Colour

Pale straw and light green hues.

Aroma

Lifted notes of citrus, pear and freshly picked almonds

Palate

Dry and lengthy, the palate, has a rocky minerality and a mouth-watering tang - think citrus pith.

Winemaker's Comments

Enticing notes of pear and grapefruit zest, complemented by a complexing richness and mineral acidity on the palate.

Winemaking

Only free run juice and light pressing juice were used to capture and maximise flavour; these were then raked to retain light solids and fermented at a cool steady 16˚C in stainless steel. Battonage was employed to build palate texture and complexity. The wine was then promptly bottled to ensure freshness and to capture clean varietal character.
