A youthful light golden-straw colour with a delicate and lingering fine bubble. This Pear Cider is a blend of South Australian Pears of various flavour-strengths, and intensity, which has allowed us to retain these elegant flavours during fermentation before preparation for bottling. The bottled product has a lifted Pear fruit flavour & intensity with a hint of vanilla and spice [only from the fermentation] and finished with a great acid fruit balance.
All Barossa Valley Cider Co. Ciders are made using Traditional Champagne Yeast, in an effort to extract enhance the most fruit, flavour and intensity from the variety of Apples and Pears that we use in our products. This yeast creates small, persistent and delicate bubbles within each of the products, which lift and enhance the aromas of the product out of the glass and in doing so imparts a fresh-lively, delicate and persistent creamy mouthfeel.
The fermentations are temperature controlled and tasted daily to ensure that both the fruit flavours and product balance is retained at their optimum before their final preparation for filling to bottles or kegs.
