70 years ago, Hilton Mervyn Seppelt co-founded the very first Barossa Vintage Festival. Hilton - an inaugurated Baron of the Barossa - was also credited with establishing Seppeltsfield’s remarkable Sherry collection, having secretly obtained flor-yeast culture from a Spanish Bodega in the 1930s.
To honour Hilton and to celebrate opening of the 2017 Barossa Vintage Festival, we invite you to a night of Spanish-style cuisine, as part of our unearthed@seppeltsfield pop-up restaurant series.Held in the Seppeltsfield 1882 Vinegar Haus, expect Spanish tapas-style delights by Executive Chef Owen Andrews, backed by a rock-star Seppeltsfield drinks list. A wine lounge featuring Sherry-spiked contemporary cocktails and live music will be sure to kick of your Barossa Vintage Festival celebrations in style.
