How would you like to taste a wine from the year you were born?

Daily by appointment only, min. 2 people, max 10 people. $79 per person.

 

There is much to see, do and taste at Seppeltsfield and the best way to do so is via one of the specially crafted tours that mixes heritage, history and wine samples together.


Public Tastings

There is a $5 per person tasting fee, refundable upon purchase.

  • Choose from the tasting list of over 20 wines
  • No fee will be charged (and therefore refunded upon purchase) for seniors bus groups
  • Tastings may be limited to 20 minutes.
Centenary Tour


Enjoy our newest tour, walk along side the longest lineage of single vintage wines in the world.  You forget you are not in France or Portugal.  It is a truly amazing experience

  • Taste the Paramount Collection, a range of rare wines from the Seppeltsfield cellars of 1878.
  • Taste the current vintage 100 year old Para Vintage Tawny
  • Finish by finding your birth year and taste direct from the barrel.

Daily Heritage Tour


Join one of our wine educators on our Daily Heritage Tour through the spectacular gardens, palms and heritage buildings. Learn about the early pioneering spirit of the Seppelt family and their profound influence on the Australian wine industry.

  • Tour the barrel cellar, distillery and underground blending cellar
  • Taste from our premium range of table and fortified wines in the old bottling hall.

Cooperage Tour


Let our on-site Cooper – Andrew Young show you the art of barrel making.  See the toasting of a barrel and the old tools used in this traditional artisan process.

The Legend of Seppeltsfield


Can you describe the taste of one hundred summers and one hundred winters?
Enjoy the ultimate foresight of Benno Seppelt when you discover The Legend of Seppeltsfield.  Start in the original 1851 family Homestead, learn about the Seppelt family from their immigration, settlement by the Para river, to today.

  • Tour the family homestead, barrel cellar, distillery, underground blending cellar, the trophy cellar, Joseph’s room and the 100 year old barrel storage cellar (actually more of an attic!)
  • Tasting wines include five super premium Seppeltsfield wines, culminating with a taste of the 100 year old Para Vintage Tawny
  • Including cheese and crackers.

Aussie BBQ Style Lunch


Have local chef, Peter Sich from Gourmet BBQ & Catering sizzle up a storm on the Aussie Barbeque.
  • Choose one of the following combinations
- Marinated Scotch Fillet Steak
- Chicken Fillet Kebab and Grilled Bratwurst Sausage
- Barramundi Fillet with lemon pepper marinade
- Charcoal grilled Kangaroo Fillet
  • Choose two of the above (add $6 per person)
  • Served with three salads and Barossa bread
